Looking for a great weekend drive? We think this is a pretty great loop, complete with a visit to Pechey Distilling Co. for a tasting.
Start at the Hampton Visitors Information Centre, down Esk Hampton Road and take a scenic drive through Ravensbourne.
It’s so worth diverting to Shearer’s Road, right opposite Hazelmont Cottage, as this is one idyllic country road, where you can take in views over glorious green rolling hills & grazing cattle.
It’s a no through road, so when you’ve taken your fill of this stunning scene, head back on your loop through Ravensbourne.
Head to Perseverance Lake, where you can stop and take in the views over this stunning lake & spillway.
There’s a viewing platform too & you might see some rock wallabies.
Then keep heading along Perseverance Dam Road and you will come upon Pechey Distilling Co.
open Saturday 11-5 and Sunday 10-3 with no bookings needed.
You could head into Crows Nest or Goombungee from here or back to where you started
